The Ħal Qormi Health Centre was built in 1989, and this centre houses various facilities comprising a large reception area, an X-Ray machine, E.C.G. treatment Area, Physiotherapy clinics and many other facilities. The first stone of this Helath Centre was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Dr. Edward Fenech Adami accompanied by the Parliamentary Secretary for Health Dr. George Hyzler on 23rd September 1989.

The Health Centres are the hub of the primary health care services provided by the Government. Besides the general practitioner and nursing services, various specialised health services are provided. These include immunisation, speech therapy, dental services, antenatal and postnatal clinics, Well Baby Clinics, Diabetes clinics, and Paediatric clinics. The times for these clinics vary and for further information the public is requested to contact the individual health centre.

At present there are eight Health Centres (HCs). Floriana HC has two satellites, Gzira HC and Ħal Qormi HC. Paola HC has one satellite, Cospicua HC. Mosta HC has one satellite, Rabat HC. The public is requested to attend the Health Centre that serves his/her locality of residence.
